Hello all,

This is a post about caution to those participating in competitions hosted by those not affiliated or given the green light by Redlynx, and what to do if you want to do a competition off your own back especially if it contains exciting winner goodies!

Whether you are new to the forums or have been here a while you may of noticed Redlynx and friends like to host alot of competitions here to give the gamers something more to compete on than just leaderboard times.

-Anything from TrialsHD.net and or stickied competition stickies are safe.
-Other player hosted competitions usually dont have prizes are just for fun!
-Those that do have prizes i recommend that you check if the prize is genuine..i.e screenshot of prize, and an important note, make sure they are able to post anything to you if you live outside of the hosts country.
-Obviously use your common sense, for example the host only has a small number of posts to their name.
-Recorded delivery is best as you will be insured for the goods sent if they get lost and also provide a tracking number to the winner

If you want to do an official competition simply private message one of the developers here, or through me and if Redlynx like the idea then they will get on board and support it.

as always if in doubt go for the stickied competitions that are run by Redlynx or supported by them. (These will be the ones that have stickied pin icon next to them and displayed at the top of the forums topic list)

thanks for the info akatsuki. i mean i didnt know there were 'fake' contest worries out there, and if there are thats just downright shameful. ive held my own mini contests over xbox live before skumbag and rotten introduced me to this amazing community and site... and i paid out the microsoft points thru a message with the codes and the winner verifies. i mean if someone is gonna hold a contest, keep it real.
