Wow, loving what I see so far, good work fella.

Having just created my first track I was hoping there would be some way of recording peoples times without the need for paper and pencil! Will be uploading my track details when my xbox returns from red ring heaven.

Will it be possible to associate descriptive tags with the tracks; for more detailed searching; or is this just a pain in the arse/unnecessary? Just a thought.

Great site, but one thing i would really really like to see is, is a "see all tracks" option, i dont know many gamertags due to memory loss would this be possible to have a "list" of all the tracks we can post our scores on

I can create a query for a dump of all tracks on the page. I'll get that for you guys tomorrow. I notice a lot of people putting up their tracks but not their times. Kinda defeats the purpose, oh well I'm still putting up the scores waiting for them to update them.

Love the new look website. The updated graphics and things, more in keeping with the images of the game, look fantastic.

Regarding your initiative for a tournament, I think it's a good idea. Regarding which tracks etc, my personal choice would be no Extreme or Extreme+ tracks, keep it to Easy, Medium or Hard rated tracks only. If you made a tournament featuring 3 really hardcore courses you may get more than 500 faults combined and more than 30:59.999 in time which you can't currently input. Plus, it would probably be too frustrating for most people (myself included). I'd also say no more than 1 course per creator in any tournament for the sake of variety and I'd also keep it to only about 3 courses in length. Too many courses and not everyone will have them all.

Perhaps you could choose the courses based on your "most popular" table? So currently, a tournament would consist of my most popular track, Asleepmeunier's most popular track and QcChopper's most popular track. Anyway, those are my initial thoughts but I'd play it and record my time so that's one person for your tournament leaderboard atleast!

it goes by the honor system. You don't win anything and you don't lose anything. If you lie what is the point, the proof system is there because some people get wicked times that others might call BS and they are not afraid to post it.

Yeah it is flawed but I'm not going to sit there and review each one and I'm sure the track creators are not gonna verify their track scores either.

The site is for the great TrialsHD community to help appreciate each others work. A cheater will eventually be called out i guess and I can remove bad apples easily.

Just wanted to give some props on the site. It has come along very nicely. Great work.

Since we know it's possible, maybe you [I could help you as much as needed/possible] could come up with something so people could download tracks directly from the site? I could help with $$ needed and maybe you could set up a donation link [if you have a paypal or an account like that] for others who want to to help with the extra money for the bandwith/space it would need. Everyone says they're willing to pay for "global sharing".. although they would need a few other things to get the tracks on to their xbox, it's the best option as of right now.

To noobaroniNcheez, I thought about the idea as I asked the question once before and the devs didn't reply. The other day I saw a post asking about this and Sebbbi posted a possible solution but he didn't condone it.

XBOX is supposed to be a very tight and closed platform. Even though there are supposed to be some memory card readers that allow their users to handle data either from their HD or Memory cards, this products are third party and not supported by MS.

The idea that a user might download a track from my site and somehow corrupt their hd, or they wipe out important information from the game or god forbid they get RRoD and they decide to blame my website for it. There are too many variables to consider and I don't want to get blamed because of a UTS (User too stupid) error.

Another issue might arise when a track owner doesn't want their track uploaded or I would have to manage the files myself to ensure no one has created a corrupt file that could brick a machine.

It comes down to the devs don't support the idea, we are using products not condoned by MS and there is a high margin of error. There is a reason why RedLynx coded TrialsHD the way they did (security, MS policy, etc) and I think in a way we should honor it even though it doesn't fit our needs.

Good point, it was just an idea. Keeping it the way it is, is probably the best way to go anyways.

On another note, any way to make it so I can stay signed in? Seems I get logged out if I go away from that site for a bit..

I seen to get this request a lot so I will increase the timeout. Right now it's at 20 minutes which is the default, i'll raise it though.

hey there should be a video section i think too. first thing i do when im looking at tracks is check for a youtube or something. with such limited space of 100 tracks total i usually want to preview first. in the video section you could search through all tracks that actually had a video uploaded for them, it would be useful.

That is not a bad idea, but instead of a video section I would just add it as a search value on the Tracks Search page.

perhaps we could do a weekly custom track creator challenge, where creators have to build using a certain theme, or use certian objects. have it more about showing vids about the track challenge, cause the weekly challenge keeps alot of activity for invites and sharing, it can be hard to keep up lol so if this one were to be more, "sharing optional, vid required" it would leave the door swinging both ways, plus sense it's video required, some folks, like me, can't cap vids so we'd have to do some sharing, and users could still partake in the event, cause someone would have to cap mine, and other creators tracks.

It's not a bad idea at all. The only problem is the topic of the track. I'm not creative enough since I don't make tracks to say I want one that has this theme or that since I don't know what is really doable or not. If you guys send me Ideas I can post the track of the week challenge up there and see how it comes out. We can have a thread poll on here or something for people to vote on the best one or we can use the websites track ranking feature to figure out which one people liked the most.

If theres one thing thd.net doesn't lack its tracks. There are currently 273 tracks to choose from. We need more riders who put up times.

Also a video page, i had fun making my vid and i'd like to see vids of other peoples good runs. For instance, i know i'm not winning the skumbag WC but i'd like to see 420 or whoever run thru that bitch. I made mine with a flip cam and camtasia...and a shitty tv.

And not that there's anyway to specify but for the record i like flow tracks more than obstacle courses.

love the wood work, been tryin to impliment some things like that in my "rush hour" track, so far, i'm not pleased...the track gave me an idea on a free floating track, not working out to well, i might have to scratch the floating track idea...

but jus thought i'd say i liked the woodwork, everything falling apart and the wood looks well put together, and i dunno how many times i ran that track before i noticed the rolling ball at the begining

about time, good work

yeah the busy season at work started and I had little time to work on my shizzle. Now that things will die down until after christmas I got some time to play around. I'm pretty much monitoring my software to ensure that it's running properly at work and fix any issues that crop up.
